Winter PA Day activities
During PA Days on Fridays, Jan 30 and Feb 27, families are invited to enjoy seasonal crafts, exhibits, and hands-on activities at Nature’s Place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A free movie screening will also be shown in the Welch Room from 1 to 2:30 p.m. screening:

Lunar New Year drop-in craft
Celebrate Lunar New Year at Minden Hills Cultural Centre with a fun, hands-on drop-in program featuring traditional crafts and storytelling inspired by the Year of the Horse.
Visitors can enjoy Nian legend storytelling, try Chinese calligraphy, create firecracker crafts, and make a Year of the Horse-themed craft.
The Drop-in program is suitable for children aged 4 to 12, and runs on February 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nature’s Place, with admission by donation and no pre-registration required.
Family Day Open House
Join the Minden Hills Cultural Centre Foundation on Monday, February 16, from noon to 2 p.m. for an afternoon of creativity, learning, and fun for all ages at the Cultural Centre!
Highlights include the 3rd Annual Archie Stouffer Elementary School Student Art Exhibition in the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, hands-on nature-themed arts and crafts at Nature’s Place, chili and hot dogs provided by Rotary Club of Minden, and a special interpretive program by local entomologist Basil Conlin, who will bring insect specimen display cases and discuss the relationships between insects, humans, and the environment.
If the weather permits, visitors can also bring a pair of skates to enjoy the Dawson Hamilton Outdoor Memorial Rink in the centre of the Heritage Village.
All the activities are suitable for all ages. Admission is by donation, and no pre-registration is required.
