The Township of Minden Hills has a variety of different registered and drop-in programs scheduled for PA Days this winter.

PA Day Camps will take place on Friday January 30th and Friday February 27th, 2026. Campers will participate in activities, crafts, games and skate in the afternoon. Drop-off is between 8:30am and 9:00am while pick-up is between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. The cost is $40 for the day and open to campers 4-12 years old. Registration must take place beforehand online (www.mindenhills.ca/recreation) or in person at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena.

On Friday January 30th a Home Alone Safety for Kids Course will be running. This course will prepare youth 9-12 years old to be better prepared to take care of themselves while home alone. The cost for the course is $40 and runs from 9:00am-4:00pm. Registration must take place beforehand online (www.mindenhills.ca/recreation) or in person at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena.

On Friday February 27th a Babysitters course is offered for youth 11-15 years old. The course is $40 and runs from 9:00am-4:00pm. Registration must take place beforehand online (www.mindenhills.ca/recreation) or in person at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena.

Drop-in programs occurring on January 30th and February 27th include Public Skate from 2:30-3:50pm, Floor Hockey from 12:30pm-1:50pm and Basketball from 2:00pm-3:20pm.

Summer break information

Beginning the week of July 6, the TLDSB Lindsay Education Centre is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Muskoka Education Centre is closed to the public over the break.

All school buildings will be closed to the public for the summer break beginning Monday, July 6, reopening on Tuesday, September 1.

The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8. Note, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start.
