Wildcats Weekly Update

October 15-19, 2018

Archie Stouffer is proud to be a Leader in Me School.  This week, we celebrate what it means to be a Leader in Me School.  To do this we are going to be looking at our paradigms, that is, the beliefs that we hold dear in our Archie Stouffer community.

Each week we will focus on one aspect of our leadership journey.  We will do this through a focus on the 7 Habits. We hope that you will find this sharing beneficial as families, friends and community members are so important to our success at Archie.

Each Division has published their Divisional Mission Statement and they are working on classroom Mission Statements which will be displayed by our Open House and Barbecue on October 4th.

The Junior Division Mission Statement is…

In the Junior Division, we will provide consistent messaging that promotes Habit 1, Being Proactive. We will do this by encouraging Junior students to become more accountable for their actions and reactions.

CHALLENGE of the WEEK: It is important as we move through the world that we take time to appreciate the amazing wonders of nature that surround us.  Haliburton County is a wonderful place to soak in nature in all its glory – – especially in the Fall. Consider taking 15 minutes each day to explore the outdoors.  Consider your five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Pay attention to the changes from day to day.

October 4th is our Open House and BBQ!   What a great time we had!  Thank you to everyone who was able to join us.  For those who had other commitments, we missed you!

Leadership @ Archie

Leadership opportunities can be found everywhere at Archie.  Shout-out to the Spirit Action Team for their work in keeping us engaged and having fun at school.

A shout out to Hannah and Rory for their support of the Minden Foodbank.  Check out this marvelous thank you letter from Marilyn about the hard work undertaken by these leaders:

This past Wednesday we had Rory and Hannah come to the food bank to sort an amazing amount of food. Please thank the teachers and the two young women. They did a great job and worked through breaks and lunch to make sure the job got done. They sorted hundreds of pounds of food and marked every single item to make sure they were not expired and then put everything away. Thank you to everyone involved, what a joy they were to work with, including their great upbeat attitude.
